Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August 1965, is an American actress. She is best known for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English origins. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
