Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara has received a variety of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In addition, she was awarded two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress while she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Along with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main ensemble cast for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working with Candy on Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara was acknowledged for her stand-up comedy and writing skills, winning the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was named to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
